Students in Prince Edward County are being sent home early today.
Kerry Donnell says schools in the County are closing due to the deteriorating weather conditions.
Parents and guardians are asked to pick their children up from school.
Staff will remain on-site until all the students are picked up.
Prince Edward Ontario Provincial Police are advising motorists to stay off the roads due to white out conditions reducing visibility to zero at times.
Constable Patrick Menard says emergency vehicles were on the scene of a four vehicle collision on County Road 10 and Miller Road.
County Rd. 10 is being closed because of whiteout conditions.
A snow squall warning remains in effect for Prince Edward County and snowfall is expected to reach 15cm or more in the County today.
