ENVIRONMENT CANADA SNOWFALL WARNING ISSUED FOR QUINTE REGION AT 10:03 P.M. MONDAY
Snow at times heavy continuing tonight.
The snow should taper off overnight for areas close to the west end of Lake Ontario and later Tuesday morning for areas farther east. Total snowfall accumulations of 15 to 25 cm are likely, with the highest amounts expected along the north shore of Lake Ontario where extra moisture from the lake may boost snowfall amounts.
There will likely be a significant impact on the commute Tuesday morning.
Prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions. Surfaces such as highways, roads, walkways and parking lots may become difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow.
Snowfall warnings are issued when significant snowfall is expected.
