There were two snowmobile crashes in the Bancroft area on Saturday, one leading to a man suffering serious injuries, the other leading to charges.
Bancroft OPP were called to the first crash on Williams Lake, off McCormick Road in Hastings Highlands, just before noon.
Investigators say a 29-year-old man from Ohio, who wasn’t wearing any protective equipment, was driving his snowmobile erratically and was ejected from the vehicle.
He was airlifted to hospital with life-altering injuries.
A few hours later, a 72-year-old Barrie man was ejected from his snowmobile after a crash with another vehicle on Highway 127 near Iron Bridge Road.
He suffered non-life threatening injuries and is facing charges under the motorized snow vehicle act.
