Thefts
Late morning, on January 25, 2019, the Belleville Police Service attended a west end business reporting a shoplifting incident. A local male stole merchandise and left on foot. He was located shortly thereafter and arrested for theft under $5000. Terrance Gray was later released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC Undertaking with conditions.
On January 25, 2019, police were called to an east end grocery store regarding males shoplifting. An employee caught the males and contacted the police which resulted in the arrest of two males. Christopher Gray was charged with two counts of theft under $5000 and breach of probation. Joseph McDonald was charged with two counts of theft under $5000. Both males were released on a Promise to Appear and an OIC Undertaking with conditions.
Disturbance
In the early morning hours on January 26, 2019, local police were called to a disturbance in the north end of the city. Consequently, A 33-year-old was arrested for being intoxicated in a public place and later released on a provincial offence notice.
