Prince Edward County and the City of Quinte West are receiving a big boost to help improve public transit.
Bay of Quinte riding MPP and cabinet minister Todd Smith announced funding through the provincial government’s Community Transportation Grant Program.
Prince Edward County will receive $500,000 while Quinte West will benefit from a grant of $303,000.
MPP Smith says the investment will help improve the quality of life for many residents in rural areas underserved by public transit.
