A longtime children’s aid worker and acting executive director of the Highland Shores Childrens Aid Society, is moving into the top job full-time.
Tami Callahan is taking over the job from Mark Kartusch, who is moving on to head the Catholic Childrens Aid Society of Toronto, after holding the executive director position here since 2012.
She says she was very excited when she was officially given the job and she feels ready to take it on.
Callahan says she and the agency have very clear goals going forward.
She told Quinte News the community plays a big role in helping to keep kids safe.
Callahan has more than 27 years working in the field of child welfare and has spent the past 14 years as the Director of Services at HSCAS, holding the interim executive director position since early January.
