The family and children’s services agency that serves Lennox and Addington County, including Napanee, is getting ready to hand out its 2018 Family Advocacy Award.
Family and Children’s Services of Frontenac Lennox and Addington has announced it’s looking for someone who makes a difference in the lives of local families, especially families in need.
The winner will be recognized for making the lives of the families better, helping the agency do its work either directly or indirectly, and advocating for those who are disadvantaged.
The activities they have done for families can have been done recently or in the recent past and can include lifetime achievements or activities at different times.
In 2016 the award was given to Lennox and Addington Interval House in Napanee, a shelter for abused women and their children.
Nominations close February 4 with the award announced on Family Day, February 18.
