The Director of Education for the Hastings Prince Edward School Board is calling it a career.
Monday, Mandy Savery-Whiteway notified the Board of Trustees that she will retire August 30.
In her letter to staff, Savery-Whiteway says it has been a privilege to be in public education for the last 30 years.
She adds that the Hastings Prince Edward has afforded her many professional opportunities, which included six years as the Director of Education.
Her two children are graduates of the board, and her first grandchild will start in the board this coming September.
