The Belleville Police Service is excited to announce that its third annual Cops, Kids and Ice Fishing Derby will go ahead this weekend.
Organizers had been waiting for a check on ice conditions before confirming the event, which will run Saturday between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m at the Herchimer Avenue Boat Launch.
Drilled holes and bait will be provided, along with hot chocolate, coffee, Timbits and chili.
The entire event is free and there’s no need to pre-register, just show up and dress for the weather conditions.
