Belleville Senators rookie forward Drake Batherson has been named to the 2019 Lexus AHL All-Star Challenge in Springfield Connecticut on January 28th.
Despite missing 15 games during his recent call-up to the NHL Senators, Batherson is second in Belleville scoring with 25 points (8 goals 17 assists) in 21 games. He is also 4th among all rookies in scoring.
In 17 games with Ottawa Batherson scored 3 goals and 5 assists.
In a statement to bellevillesens.com Batherson says “It’s a huge honour for me to represent the organization as a whole in Belleville and for myself is a great opportunity. I’m looking forward to a fun weekend in Springfield. I’ve never been to anything like this before so it should be fun.”
Batherson was a 4th round pick of the Ottawa Senators in 2017.
