2018 was a busy year for Hastings-Lennox and Addington MP Mike Bossio.
He says tackling poverty was a priority for the Liberal government with the creation of Canada’s first National Housing Strategy and first National Poverty Reduction Strategy.
Bossio says he’s also proud of initiatives like the tax-free child benefit for families, the tax-cut for small businesses and the middle class and the Guaranteed Income Supplement for low-income single seniors.
If you ask Bossio what his favourite part of 2018 was, his answer is easy.
It was his Rural Sustainability Tour which saw him cross-cross his large, mostly rural riding to bring focus not just to rural sustainability, but also to what makes his riding so great.
