Two Brighton men are facing multiple charges following a vehicle stop in Quinte West today.
Quinte West OPP have charged 37-year-old Doug McGregor and 57-year-old William Goheen with possession for the purpose of trafficking (cocaine).
McGregor is facing additional charges of possession of property obtained by crime under five thousand dollars, assault with intent to resist arrest and three counts of failure to comply with recognizance.
He was held for a bail hearing today in Belleville court.
Goheen was released on a promise to appear and has a January 28 court date.
Officers with the Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Community Street Crime Unit, along with the Emergency Response Team also seized cocaine, hydromorphone, oxycodone and Canadian currency.
OPP made the stop, targeting the sale and distribution of illicit drugs in the community.
