When it comes to funding in 2019 for Quinte Health Care, it is a waiting game.
CEO Mary Clare Egbert tells Quiinte News QHC is waiting to see how the province and the LHIN will work out the funding issue.
When asked about Hastings-Quinte Emergency Services’ concerns about use of ambulances for non-urgent inter-facility transfers, Egbert says older and sicker patients who require specialists or the ICU must go to Belleville General Hospital.
Egbert says the inter-facility issue is something that QHC will continue to work on.
