Kingston Police are continuing to investigate multiple threats made against schools in the city late last week.
Those threats, which caused lockdowns at both high schools and elementary schools, were found to be unsubstantiated and police are still trying to figure out who was responsible.
Not many details about the investigation have been released, but police say they are working with international law enforcement partners, to look into the person or people responsible.
Investigators say Kingston Police “will respond accordingly to any information that concerns the safety of schools, students and staff members” and are asking anyone who might have a tip to contact them or Crimestoppers.
There had been rumours of similar threats made to at least one Belleville high school, with police responding there, but Belleville Staff Sergeant Rene Aubertin told Quinte News last week that students had just been discussing what happened in Kingston and officers were sent there to speak about how false threats negatively impact schools, students, staff and police.
