MP Neil Ellis has announced some significant funding to help veterans and their families.
Ellis announced a commitment of more than $741,000 today to the Mood Disorders Society of Canada, to help fund Project Trauma Support.
That program is a community-based, residential initiative, which supports a multidisciplinary approach to treating post traumatic stress disorder.
The money comes from the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund, which will hand out close to $3 million per year and the MDSC is one of 21 organizations across the country to get some of that funding in 2018.
