A Belleville man is alleged to have chosen a simple tool during a break-in in the city Tuesday night.
Belleville police report being called to a Moira Street East residence around 10:30 where a man was
said to be using a sledge hammer to break into a house.
A man was arrested as he walked down the street.
Jarrod Brinkert, 31, of Belleville was charged with being unlawfully in a dwelling, break and enter with intent,
and mischief under $5,000.
He remains in custody.
