The Trenton Golden Hawks and Wellington Dukes had identical 4-1 results on the road last night. And they were good.
In Stouffville the East Division leading Golden Hawks clipped the Spirit 4-1.
Tiger McDonald and Steven Elliott scored a goal and 3 assists each. Matt Nastasiuk and Andy Baker added singles. Anand Oberoi stopped 22 shots.
Trenton hosts the Whitby Fury tonight.
In Kingston, Ben Woodhouse had a goal and two assists in Wellington’s 4-1 victory over the Voyageurs.
Special teams were the difference for the Dukes as they were 2 for 3 on the power play and 6 for 6 on the kill. Frank Vitucci and Dylan Massie had a goal and assist. Brett Humberstone also scored while Olivier Lafreniere turned away 30 shots.
Tonight the Dukes host the North York Rangers. Both games are at 7:30.
Tonight in the Provincial Junior “C” Hockey League, the Napanee Raiders are home to the Picton Pirates at the Strathcona Paper Centre.
The Campbellford Rebels play the Bruins in Uxbridge.
