The Quinte West Physician Recruitment and Retention Committee got a financial boost today.
The Eastern Ontario Development Program Grant of $5,000 is for community innovation.
Paula Mason, the Physician Recruitment and Retention Coordinator says access to grants such as this one allow them to continue to expand and develop their program which enables them to reach more prospective physicians.
The program is delivered through Trenval with a goal to promote the growth of new and existing businesses in rural Eastern Ontario.
Amber Darling, Executive Director of Trenval, says doctor recruitment for employees’ health is such an important part of Economic Development and Industry Attraction for employers.
