Public health officials continue their campaign of providing influenza vaccine to the public and they report a good turnout at the clinics.
So far, no cases of flu have been reported in Hastings and Prince Edward area, although the public health that serves Northumberland County has reported one case. The cases usually “spike” in mid-December according to officials.

In a recent interview, Medical Officer of Health Dr. Piotr Oglaza indicated those people with obstructive pulmonary disease and heart disease are at “particular risk.”
