Both the Picton Pirates and Campbellford Rebels lost Saturday night, but a Napanee Raiders player scored a big win Saturday in Provincial Junior C.
Devin Morrison’s three point game wasn’t enough for the Pirates in a 6-3 road loss to the Lakefield Chiefs. Noah Brant also recorded two points for Picton in the defeat.
The Campbellford Rebels took a 9-1 defeat at the hands of the Gananoque Islanders, with Liam Lockhead scoring Campbellford’s only goal.
Both teams are in action Sunday night, Campbellford visits Amherstview at 7:25 p.m. and Picton hosts North Kawartha at 7:30 p.m.
On a more positive note, Napanee Raiders forward Austin Labelle has been named the September/October player of the month for the Tod Division.
The Belleville native notched 23 points in his first 12 games and has demonstrated great team leadership while playing in all situations.
