On Tuesday, November 13th, 2018 at 6:28 a.m. officers with the Napanee detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and Highway Safety Division (HSD) responded to a report of a rear end collision on the eastbound Highway 401 exit ramp at Centre Street, Town of Greater Napanee.
Police arrived and arrested the driver of the vehicle that struck the other vehicle from behind.
Charged with Operating a Motor vehicle while over 80 mgs contrary to Section 253(1)(b) of the Criminal Code and Careless Driving contrary to Section 130(1) of the Highway Traffic Act is 42 year old Samuel AFRIYIE of Mississauga.
He was released on a Promise to Appear and is scheduled to attend the Ontario Court of Justice in Napanee on November 27th, 2018.
