For the first time this season Belleville Senators coach Troy Mann won’t have leading scorer Drake Batherson in his lineup when they host the Utica Comets (Vancouver Canucks) tonight.
After a spectacular week leading to Player of the Week honours the Ottawa Senators have recalled the rookie winger where he’ll make his NHL debut tomorrow night against Detroit. Nick Paul rejoins Belleville after a 6 game stint with Ottawa.
Meanwhile goaltender Mike Condon will not be available tonight. He tweeked a previous injury during Friday’s game against the Toronto Marlies (Toronto Maple Leafs). Belleville head coach Troy Mann hopes Condon will be good to go on Friday.
Tonight is the first of 3 home games over the next four days. The Marlies are back on Friday while the Bridgeport Sound Tigers (New York Islanders) make their lone trip to the CAA Arena Saturday night.
