Belleville Police Service responded to 48 calls for service from November 9, 2018 at 5 a.m. to November 10, 2018 at 5 a.m.
Shoplifter Arrested
A Belleville man was held for a bail hearing after he was arrested in connection to a shoplifting attempt.
Belleville Police say they were called to a store in the Bay View Mall about a shoplifter yesterday afternoon.
Justin Cook was arrested and police then learned he was also wanted in relation to an August shoplifting incident.
Officers also discovered he was involved in another shoplifting incident in October.
Cook is facing three counts of theft and three counts of breaching his probation.
Intoxicated Lumberjack
Belleville Police dealt with an intoxicated man early this morning who fancied himself a lumberjack.
According to police, shortly before 3 a.m. the man was kicking down Christmas trees on Front Street.
The 33-year-old was arrested for public intoxication.
Officers say the trees were not damaged and they were returned to their places.
