There is some local flavour to the Ontario Junior Hockey League’s monthly awards.
Wellington Dukes’ forward Andrew Rinaldi was named KEWL South-East Conference Player of the Month after registering 17 points in nine games, including two game winning goals.
His biggest outing was a three-goal, three-assist performance in an 11-5 rout of Kingston, on October 19.
Meanwhile, Bloomfield native and North York Rangers goaltender Jett Alexander, was named the KEWL OJHL Goaltender of the Month.
Alexander had 12 wins in 13 games during October, with six shutouts, a 1.07 goals against average and a .966 save percentage.
He is the top ranked goalie in the league and his team is currently ranked second in the country.
