The Pond at Rhino Sports & Playland- Minor Atom
The Quinte Rhino Sports Minor Atom team traveled to Clarington to face the Toros. There was no score after the first period.
Maclean Chisholm opened up the game with a goal in the second period. The third period started off with two goals from Clarington but Quinte answered back to bring the game to 2-2 tie. With less than two minutes left in the game Maclean Chisholm (from Pierson Clute) scored to bring the devils to a 3-2 win against the Toros. Daniel Yeo took the win in net.
On Sunday, the devils played York Simcoe Express. Quinte was down by 1 going into the second period. They found the back of the net again in the second period, but it wouldn’t be enough. Quinte lost 4-2 against the Express. Goals went to Grayson Hunt and Jonas McCoy, both assists went to Maclean Chisholm. Charlie Vos was in net.
Up next, Quinte faces off against the Whitby Wildcats, followed by the Central Ontario Wolves.
Free Flow Petroleum- Minor Midget
One home and one away game for the Minor Midget Free Flow Petroleum team this week
Wednesday night the team played the Central Ontario Wolves. After a scoreless first period, the Devils opened the scoreboard with a power play goal by Luke LaPalm with assists credited to Erik MacNiel and Gavin Camp. COW came back to score two goals in the latter half of the game to win 2-1. Alex Lucas was in net.
Saturday the Minor Midgets travelled to Whitby to face the current ETA season leaders the Whitby Wildcats. Whitby scored late in the first, followed by a second goal midway through the second to lead the game by two. Quinte managed a late power play goal in the second to get things rolling. Goal scored by Luke LaPalm with assists from Daniel Michaud and Ben White. Whitby answered with its third goal but Quinte dug deep with another third period power play goal from Ben White with assists from Michaud and Erik MacNiel. With a minute left in the game Quinte pulled the goalie and White potted another with an assist from Zack Brooks to tie the game. Final score was 3-3. Alex Lucas was stellar between the pipes.
Next up the boys take on the Peterborough Petes on Thursday November 1st at home in the Family Dental Centre. Puck drop at 8:15
A Walsh Fencing- Novice
Walsh Fencing Novices avenge only ETA loss on the weekend by beating the Barrie Colts.
Your QRD Novices only had one game on the weekend, they had a Sunday matinee game against the Barrie Colts in Madoc.
Looking to avenge the teams only loss in the regular season against Barrie, Your QRD novices came out strong in the first period by scoring a goal in the first 5 minutes of the game.
QRD Novices would strike again only a minute later and then add one more goal to take a 3-0 lead into the second period.
Barrie would come out stronger in the second period and get a goal of their own to make it a 3-1 game after two periods. Ryerson Swan made some big saves to keep it 3-1 for the QRD Novices.
In the third period the Barrie colts scored one more goal and the QRD novices would add two more goals of their own to win the game 5-2

Next week Your Walsh Fencing Novices head on the road Saturday (Nov 3rd) for a game against the Clarington Toros and have a home game on Sunday (Nov 4) against the Whitby Wildcats.
Foley Bus Lines- Major Bantam
On Thursday the Devils hosted the Central Ontario Wolves. The Devils started and finished the game strong. The Devils scored 3 times in the first period. In the second the Wolves would net their only goal of the game. It was 5 – 1 Quinte after 2 periods of play. Quinte would go on to score 5 more times in the third period to take a 10 – 1 win.
Saturday night the boys travelled to Clarington for their second match up of the season with the Toros. The Devils would strike 3 times in the first period. Both teams scored twice in the second period while the lone goal in the third was from Quinte. The final score was Quinte 6 and Toros 2.
With 1/3 of the Regular Season wrapped up your Foley Bus Lines Major Bantams have 9 wins, 1 loss and 2 ties for a total of 20 points. The Devils have 69 GF and 24 GA. It has been a real team effort so far this year with every player contributing on the gamesheet and both goalies recording shutouts.
Next action is Saturday Nov 3rd when the Devils host the Clarington Toros. Game time is 2:30pm @ Cobourg Community Centre (Bowl Pad).

McInroy Maines Red Devils go 2 and 2 in their last four games starting out with a 4-3 record in the first 7 games of league play.
It’s been an exciting beginning of the 18/19 season for the boys playing in close down to the wire hockey games.
