A Prince Edward County camp park is making a five year commitment to the local hospital’s annual fundraising campaigns.

The owners of Quinte’s Isle have decided to pledge $25,000 to the “Back the Build” campaign for a new hospital in Picton and handed over the first of five $5,000 donations today.

Owner Steve Ward says it’s important for local businesses to show that they believe in the hospital and to keep a full service medical centre close to home.

The first stage of a five-stage planning process for the new hospital was approved last February, with stage two underway, including plans for operational needs and space requirements for the new facility.
