Jim Harrison has earned another four years as the head of Quinte West Council.
The incumbent mayor picked up another victory with 7,019 votes, which accounts for 67.18% of the electorate.
He beats out Duncan Armstrong who earned 3,429 votes.
Harrison tells Quinte News it was a long campaign and he was a little bit surprised by his landslide victory.
As far as councillors go, incumbents Michael Kotsovos, Sally Freeman, Fred Kuypers were re-elected. Former councillor Leslie Roseblade and newcomer David Hugh O’Neil were also elected in Trenton, ward 1.
In Sidney Ward incumbents Karen Sharpe, Allan DeWitt and Don Kuntze were re-elected, while former councillor Terry Cassidy will return to the horseshoe.
Lynda Reid bested 2 other candidates for the council seat in Frankford.
Jim Alyea and David McCue had been acclaimed in Murray Ward.
Thirty-five per cent of the 30,089 eligible voters in the city cast ballots either online, at advance polls, or on election night.
