The new OPP detachment in Quinte West won’t be built until 2020, but the police station already has its first piece of art, to be hung on its walls.
In September, Canada Post began a run of commemorative stamps recognizing first responders, including one that honours police officers and the people who support them.
A large version of the stamp was donated to the Quinte West detachment by Canada Post and will be hung on the walls of the new station once it’s complete.
Detachment Commander Inspector Christina Reive says they are committed to building strong relationships with community partners and that simple gesture is a true reminder of the success they’ve had in that.
