The city of Belleville is on the national stage as part of a Canada-wide community improvement initiative.
On Saturday, Kraft Heinz announced Belleville as one of the top four contenders in Kraft Heinz Project Play 2018. The program provides an opportunity for a Canadian community to win $250,000 towards recreational facility upgrades.
The community is raising funds to build the Field of Ability, which would be home to the Challenger Baseball League. The funds would make the field more accessible, creating a space where everyone can play.
People can view and vote for Belleville’s entry at kraftheinzprojectplay.com until October 19 at 11:59 p.m. The grand prize winner will be announced on TSN and RDS on October 28 during halftime of the Toronto-Montreal football game.
