Industrial break and enter
Belleville, Ontario – On October 13th 2018 at 10:59 a.m. police responded to a break and enter at an industrial building in the Wilson Avenue and Sidney Street area. Video surveillance at the location has assisted in the investigation and police have a male suspect with which the investigation is continuing. It was revealed the break-in occurred just after 10:00 p.m. the evening prior. Anyone who may have information about this is asked to please contact investigating officer Cst. Motor vehicle collision results in charge
Belleville, Ontario – On October 13th 2018 at 12:31 p.m. police responded to a 3-car motor vehicle collision at the Bay Bridge Road and Zwick’s Park intersection area. Damage was reported as moderate, and although no injuries were reported, police did charge a 62-year old Prince Edward County man under the Ontario Highway Traffic Act with the offence of “careless driving.” Anyone who may have been in the area at this time who may have witnessed this is asked to please contact investigating officer Cst. Domestic disturbance
Belleville, Ontario – On October 13th 2018 at 6:29 p.m. police responded to a reported domestic disturbance in progress. The incident occurred in the central-east portion of the city. An investigation revealed lots of yelling between a 34-year old male and a 41-year old female taking place inside a hallway of an apartment building. The two were separated and spoken with. The investigation revealed no injury to either person, nor was there any property damage. The argument was about the purchasing of marihuana. The involved male was transported to another location for the evening. Alcohol was also a factor in this matter.
Liquor arrests
Belleville, Ontario – On October 13th 2018 at 9:45 p.m. a city woman was arrested for her own protection in the city’s east end. Police were called to a disturbance in the area of Bridge Street East. They came across a female who was exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication. The 68-year old lady was charged with being intoxicated in a public place. She was held at police headquarters and released later, once sober.
On October 13th 2018 at 11:46 p.m. police were called to another disturbance in the Victoria Avenue and Church Street area. Police came across a man exhibiting signs of alcohol intoxication. A 34-year old Tweed, Ontario man was arrested and charged with being intoxicated in a public place. He too was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was held pending a sober release.
