There was an armed robbery at a cannabis retail outlet on the Tyendinaga Territory early Friday morning.
Around 1:00 a.m., four armed men wearing masks and hoodies entered the business known as Smoke On the Water, just east of Deb’s Restaurant on Old Highway 2.
Employees said the four young black men all brandished handguns and ordered the four people inside the store to lie on the floor.
One employee said a gun was held to his head for a brief time.
The men quickly gathered up a considerable amount of cannabis product and also picked up the business’s safe.
They jumped into a vehicle and sped off on Old Highway 2 heading east.
No one was injured.
OPP, along with Tyendinaga and Belleville police responded.
