The Bay of Quinte Chambers of Commerce are working together to celebrate Quinte Business Week.
The event begins on Monday, October 15 and runs through until Friday, October 19.
This year’s theme is “Helping you build a healthy business”.
Attendees will be able to network, attend workshops and events all aimed at providing local businesses with the opportunities to learn, share ideas and network with their peers.
The week begins at the Quinte Business Centre, with a discussion on digitizing your business and embracing new technologies as to make sure your business doesn’t fall behind from the Business Development Bank of Canada.
On Tuesday, the Trent Port Marina will play host to two seminars; first, a workshop designed to help maximize team effectiveness and performance through collaboration and communication. That will be followed by an interactive session with Chantal Fraser on how to pick up the pieces when things don’t go as planned in your career or business. A workshop talking about how to deal with the stresses of being in business will wrap up the workshops.
There will then be a mega mingle at the CAA Arena at the Belleville Senators Fan Zone. Door prizes available and a cash bar.
On Wednesday, discussions will revolve around five financial safety nets every business owner needs to know as well as a discussion on making sure your business isn’t missing out on resources and subsidies available. There will also be a session about building resilient staff and teams and making you marketing money matter.
Another mega mingle will be held at Signal Brewery featuring live music.
Thursday will begin with a Mayor’s Breakfast with an informal session about building cultures of engagement in multi-generational workplaces at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre.
The day will also feature discussions about how to hire the right people for your business and also a look at the impact of cannabis in the workplace. Those discussions will take place at The Grange Winery in Hillier. A discussion about employment law and succession planning will take place at the Sandbanks Winery meeting room in Wellington.
