United Way Hastings & Prince Edward is launching its inaugural Will Week, October 15 – 19. Will Week provides accessible, affordable opportunities to have a basic will prepared for a modest donation of $150, through a local participating law firm. Find out more at their information session being held Thursday October 11 at the Fireplace Lounge, Quinte Health and Wellness Center. Guest speakers and participating lawyers donating their time and expertise include: Liam Rafferty, Templeman; Galen Nuttal, Freedom 55, and Kris Himberg-Lawson, Wilkinson & Co.
United Way Hastings & Prince Edward’s Will Week 2018 is a special partnership with select local lawyers who are donating their time to ensure citizens are informed and prepared in the case of an unexpected, or tragic event.
The free information night on October 11, provides additional information on the importance of having a will while discussing the obstacles, challenges and issues around intestacy. From October 15-19, participating solicitors have agreed to waive their fee for preparing a basic will for a donation of $150, with limited appointments being available.
