Area roads supervisors continued on their donation trail this week, making a pair of donations to the hospital foundations in Prince Edward County and Lennox and Addington.
The District 8 Road Supervisors Association donated $5,000 each to the Prince Edward County Memorial Hospital Foundation and the Lennox and Addington County Hospital, adding to another $5,000 donation to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation on Monday.
The money was raised during the Association of Ontario Roads Supervisors trade show, held at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, back in June.
The PECMHF will use the money towards the purchase of a $32,000 ventilator unit, while the Napanee-based hospital will put the money towards a new CT scanner.
District 8 Road Supervisors include representatives from Quinte West, to Brockville and north to Highway 7.
