Update @ 4 p.m.: Medical Officer of Health Piotr Oglaza released the details.
The three-year contract includes a 1.4% increase in 2018, a 1.6% increase for 2019, and a 1.75% increase in 2020.
There are also some improvements to vision care and dental plan benefits.
A number of language changes have been implemented as well, to strengthen and clarify provisions of sick leave and long-term disability.
The total number of sick leave and personal days remains the same, however, one sick leave day was converted to a personal day to allow staff more options to make time for family, or for personal commitments.
The Hastings Prince Edward Board of Health approved a collective agreement with its nurses, during a closed session of its meeting Wednesday.
The three-year contract is effective as of January 1, 2018.
Board Chair Maureen Piercy tells Quinte News the board “is pleased to have an agreement in place with its valued nursing staff.”
