The blue line of the Belleville Senators is expected to be a strength this season. Yesterday it received another boost as Christian Jaros returns from the Ottawa Senators. The 22 year old Jaros was the final cut of the NHL club as they prepare to open the season Thursday night against Chicago.
The highly rated Jaros was a 5th round pick of Ottawa in 2015. He played 44 games in an injury shortened season with the B-Sens last year scoring 3 goals and 13 assists. He also played two games with Ottawa.
Jaros joins a Belleville defense corps that includes veterans Erik Burgdoerfer, Andreas Englund, Stuart Percy, Jordan Murray, Patrick Sieloff, Julius Bergman and rookie Christian Wolanin.
Former Belleville Senator Nick Moutrey has signed a minor league contract with the Manchester Monarchs of the ECHL.
