A partnership between the City of Belleville, its emergency services members, and Wounded Warriors, is the first of its kind in Belleville.
Monday morning at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre, municipal, EMS, fire, police, and military officials were on hand to announce the partnership.
It will allow access for first responder men and women, and their families, to programs offered by Wounded Warriors Canada.
National Program Director for Wounded Warriors Phil Ralph says first responders are to be offered mental health services.
Ralph says it is great that first responders (and their families) will have the same programs as military women and men (and their families).
