The Canadian Mental Health Association and their programs will benefit immensely from a generous and important donation.
The first Food for Thought event, held on September 9, raised awareness on mental health issues through food, conversation and connecting people to resources.
Co-founders of the Food for Thought festival, Ruth Estwick and Matt Demille, presented a $5,100 cheque to the CMHA.
The proceeds were donated to support local suicide bereavement programs.
The founders hope to double their funds at Food For Thought 2.0 and have already begun planning the event.
