The Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic Education Foundation got a significant boost from its annual golf tournament.
132 players helped to raise $20,200 during the summer event at Trillium wood.
Some of the funds will go towards the foundation’s Emergency Response Fund to provide immediate financial assistance to students and their families, who are impacted by poverty issues.
That could include medical supplies, food, clothing, transportation, or other needs resulting from family crisis.
