There’s excellent news when it comes to emergency room care in local hospitals, especially for
Belleville General Hospital.
Quinte Health Care CEO Mary-Clare Egberts.
Wait times in the emergency departments in Picton, Trenton and Bancroft also meet or exceed provincial targets.
Egberts says work still needs to be done to speed up wait times for some surgical procedures.
Also, wait times for MRIs will be longer at BGH because people from the Kingston area will be sent to Belleville for a while as a new MRI machine is installed in Kingston.
