It was a record smashing year for Hospice Quinte, with a major annual fundraiser.
Sunday was the Hike for Hospice, which took place at Riverside Park in Belleville.
Organizer Michael Kelly tells us that over $16,000 was raised, surpassing their previous record of around $7,000.
About 50 participants took part in the walk.
The money will go to help train volunteers as bereavement councillors in Quinte West, Belleville, Deseronto, Tyendinaga Township and Mohawk Territory.
