Belleville police officers had to use a taser to subdue a suspect for the second night in a row.
Last night (Friday) at around 9 o’clock police responded to a report of a domestic assault in the east end.
Upon arriving, officers saw a man assaulting a woman in the doorway to the residence.
When the man spotted police he threw a marijuana bong at an officer and started to run to his vehicle.
At that point a taser was used.
A 36-year-old Belleville man faces charges including assault, utter threats, assault police, and assault to resist arrest.
Names are being withheld to protect the family’s identity.
