The Belleville Police Service responded to 73 calls for service between September 14, 2018 at 5:00 a.m. and September 15, 2018 at 5:00 a.m.
On 14 September 2018 at 10:49 p.m., officers observed a motorcycle travelling northbound on N. Front Street in the area of Tracy Street.
Officers were able to reach the vehicle in the area of Millennium Parkway and Hwy 62 and at that time the driver began driving around the intersection.
The driver eventually abandoned the bike on Millennium and fled the area on foot. Officers searched the area on foot and located the male nearby.
Erik Mackintosh (37 years old) of Belleville has been charged with Flight from Police, Possession of Stolen Property, Careless Driving, Driving While under Suspension, Operate Motor Vehicle with no Insurance.
Mackintosh will appear in Provincial Court on October 18.
