One homeowner got a surprise early this morning in Shannonville.
Around 2:30 a.m. a man ran his car off Belleville Road near Highway 49.
The vehicle rolled over onto someone’s lawn before coming to rest.
The driver fled from the scene and was pursued by the OPP.
Tyendinaga Township firefighters were called to the scene as well.
Napanee firefighters were called out of bed early this morning to a deck fire on Sherman Point Road.
The call came in around 2:15 a.m. and the quick response allowed firefighters to contain the blaze to just the deck.
The home had to be ventilated to clear any remaining smoke but no one was injured.
