It was hot yesterday (Wednesday) in the Quinte region. So hot in fact that we now have a new high temperature record for a September 5.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton, the mercury climbed to a steamy 30.7 degrees celsius yesterday, slightly warmer than the previous record of 30.1 degrees set in 1999.
Temperatures will moderate today, topping out at around 23 degrees.
