Hastings County’s representative on the Association of Municipalities of Ontario says the new Ontario Progressive Conservative government is listening to municipal concerns.
Jo-Anne Albert, Mayor of Tweed, reported to Hastings County council this week on the recent AMO meeting.
Albert said there were 19 of 21 ministers in attendance who listened to the municipal concerns about infrastructure funding and “they asked questions.”
She said the municipalities should know more about the funding after September 21 when the government “sets the deficit picture.”
