One hundred dedicated riders began cycling along the Highway of Heroes from the Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial to the Veteran’s Memorial at Queen’s Park in Toronto Saturday morning.
The Wounded Warriors Canada Highway of Heroes Bike Ride raises funds to provide programs helping military veterans and first responders deal with both physical injury and stress related injuries.
At a service just before the two-day ride began, Bay of Quinte riding MP Neil Ellis said veterans and first responders deserve gratitude and support throughout their lives.
“This ride is a wonderful celebration of our veteran’s incredible journeys of heroism, healing, and hope.”
