There will be over 100 cyclists in the region beginning their two-day journey to Queen’s Park to support Wounded Warriors Canada on Saturday.
The third annual Highway of Heroes Bike Ride pushes off from CFB Trenton’s Afghanistan Repatriation Memorial following a ceremony at 8:30 a.m.
Scott Maxwell, the Executive Director for Wounded Warriors Canada, says all the funds raised will support their programs.
Cyclists will cover over 240 kms over the weekend.
Maxwell says this ride helps to remind people why we have the Highway of Heroes.
He says everyone is welcome to attend the opening ceremonies.
