A pilot project for Belleville transit riders is now operational.
Paul Buck, the Manager of Transit Services for the city of Belleville says the transit pass vending machine is up and working at the downtown terminal.
He says this will help make things more convenient for riders.
The vending machine accepts debit and credit cards.
Currently the vending machine will only offer adult monthly passes and the Loyalist College semester pass.
Buck says if all goes well there will be other vending machines made available as well as other transit pass options.
