Officials at Joyceville Institution in Kingston say an inmate has died in custody.
Twenty-five-year-old Witton Luu was serving a three year and nine month sentence for drug possession and trafficking and had been in custody since May of this year.
Assistant Warden Lorrie Oddie says his family has been notified and that the Correctional Service of Canada is investigating the death, as they do with all similar cases.
Oddie says police and coroner will be contacted if required.
